Although Massachusetts is considered “water rich” in comparison to other regions of the country, the state’s water is not always located where it is most needed. In many areas, the natural water cycle has been disrupted by the demands for clean water for consumptive use and the need to dispose of wastewater in an environmentally responsible manner.
